Maca is a 4-pole multimode filter with two low pass outputs (2-pole and 4-pole) and one 4-pole bandpass output. With the Level parameter the filter can be overdriven to get a distorted signal
The temperature compensation of the SSI2140 IC is much better compared to a SSM2040 and the integrated VCA eliminates volume losses in the bass range at high resonance settings. Self-oscillation and 1V/Oct tracking allow the filter to be used as a pitch stable sine wave oscillator with a range of 16 Hz to 16 kHz.
